01 / ABOUT
International Kinbaku Artist & Educator
Based in Santiago, Chile · Available for international performances and workshops.
I’ve practiced shibari and kinbaku since 2010 and taught since 2014. I bring technical understanding into a responsive, improvisational artistic practice.
For me, kinbaku is an intimate exchange of trust, vulnerability and power between consenting adults. I’m interested in the person I tie: her movement, her response and how our encounter changes us. Rope gives that encounter a language.

03 / TEACHING
I teach people to tie a person, rather than reproduce a construction on a body. A memorised pattern is one sentence. I teach the vocabulary and grammar that let you choose what to say.
That language includes tension, direction, restraint, load, body position and transitions. I want you to understand what each choice does, adapt it to your partner’s response and develop your own judgment.
Technical competence is part of care. Consent and communication belong in every lesson, alongside understanding pressure, changing loads, rope movement and how to stop and release. Progress means demonstrating understanding in practice.
Through Kinbaku Club in Santiago, I put this approach into practice in workshops for individual learners and pairs. My goal is to help you practice with increasing independence.
Kinbaku Club ↗THE LEARNING PATH
From a first encounter with rope to more independent, responsive practice. Each stage builds on the understanding developed before it.
INTRO
An introduction for those starting from scratch, individually or with a partner. Discover basic rope handling, tension, communication and purposeful restraint.
LEVEL 1
For those with introductory experience. Build an understanding of body structures, floor positions and transitions, adapting familiar elements to a person and a purpose.
LEVEL 2
An introduction to load-bearing systems, semi-suspension and static suspension. The focus is understanding load, adapting to the body and bringing the work to a controlled conclusion.
LEVEL 3
For experienced suspension practitioners. Explore changes of position, balance and load as a connected, evolving interaction.
SPECIAL TOPICS / ADVANCED PRACTICE
Changing a working suspension system while preserving continuity, control and the ability to finish. For practitioners with established suspension experience.
Making responsive choices as the encounter unfolds: adapting to the person, the changing situation and what the rope makes possible.
For a workshop invitation, tell me about your community, its experience and the time available. We can discuss a suitable focus and format.

I don’t rehearse a fixed sequence for the stage. I prepare my skills, principles and technical possibilities. The performance unfolds through the space, my partner’s state and her response to each action.
I think of it like Argentine tango: I propose a step, she answers through her body, and that answer shapes my next choice. I lead and take responsibility while staying responsive to what is happening between us.
What matters to me is how we move from one moment to the next: how the body, balance and emotional tension change together. A beautiful shape can emerge from that exchange.
